2014.05.09 Experiment with Bibliomancy

Post by Donna on Fri May 09, 2014 6:28 am

I wanted to play with bibliomancy so I randomly (without looking) picked a book off my shelf - a drawing book that Glenn has had for decades. My eyes landed on a little piece on drawing the shoulder muscles.

Well, that didn't seem very significant, so I tried again. I pulled down "Great Expectations" and opened randomly. My eyes landed on words similar to, "Joe tapped him on the shoulder..." I'm pretty sure the odds of two random references to shoulders were pretty phenomenal.

Then, when I was in an prolonged unsupported shoulder stand (arms up by thighs) last night I recalled the reference to shoulder and decided to be careful and cease the practice in case I damaged myself. I'm not sure that it was a warning, since I was thinking about career when I consulted the books, but maybe the guides thought there was a more important issue to communicate at the time.
